Seven clubs have asked businessman Tony Fernandes to consider a takeover after he failed to seize control at West Ham.

Three Premier League sides are among those to have contacted the Malaysian millionaire after he lost out to David Gold and David Sullivan at Upton Park.

Tony Fernandes lost out to Gold and Sullivan, who didn't have enough money to put Birmingham where they are now. They could afford the rescue bid for West Ham because they were so near to administration. I dont think Fernandes would have enough money to put us any further up the table. I dont think that a millionaire is enough for a club in the top half of the league anymore.
