Well it was kind of staged. Similar incidents had occurred previously but the people involved weren't as reputable as Rosa. Not that the boycott itself wasn't highly significant in the civil rights movement

The hilarity to one side, lets remember a very recently young boy is now dead on the slab and whats left of the crumbling wreck of his family are going through an unimaginable nightmare of pain and suffering where they and their now dead son/brother is another foot note in political chicanery and authoritarian malevolence.
Not quite so funny? A beleaguered community now has more troops in it than Baghdad, the onus once again is on the use of lethal force and yet again its a poor black kid that's the victim.
Anyone trying to tie in the looters and the arsonists in anyway to the murder of this young man and the subsequent outpouring of grief and protest are quite simply beyond contempt. And that counts on every side it's happening.
As a community that has taken more than its share of knocks and fought long bitter battles against cover ups and injustice and the processes that malign victims and their families I quite simply expected better.
