Fellani doesn't fit in this system. Can be boss if he gets in the right system, say being the destroyer in Murinho's diamond formation.

I voted Fellaini because he gave us five years and lots of good memories. Fernandes would have slotted into our style of play better and would have been a better player for us, but he dogged us out...

Do not want Fellaini back here under any circumstances, he was only to glad to follow our EX to the Manure, so he can damn well stay there. He had no loyalty to us.

Fellaini is of no use to us. He was just a big target man for Moyes' up and under tactics. Got found out at United and is now practically unsellable, unless Big Sam wants a Carroll replacement.

I remain baffled by Fellaini. He was such a beast on his day, even though you could never really describe him as a 'footballer.'

He never looked like he was any good, but some days he was brilliant and you had to get your head round that. He was a big, blustering, gawky mess of a man who managed to prod the ball into the goal every now and then.

My enduring image, though, is of him getting angry with every referee that he ever shared a pitch with. He was a massive pair of elbows, and everything he did seemed like a foul.

I don't think we'll see another player like him.

You make him sound awful mate, he was boss for us.

I don't mean to give that impression... I agree that he was mostly very good for us, but he looked like he was playing a different sport a lot of the time. He's an unusual specimen in lots of ways, but his effectiveness in Moyes' Everton was devastating at times.

You certainly wouldn't describe him as a cultured footballer, that's for sure. But when he was in the mood, he was damn near unstoppable and made the team tick

We over-paid for Fellaini, got 5 decent years out of him, and were fortunate that DM was desperate to make a big signing and over-paid for him again.

He was an integral part of the Moyes approach for us, and was generally good but went missing far too often in some games. I was surprised he was such a hero, but then I guess a lot of our fans aren't old enough to recall how some of his "can't be arsed" performances would've seen him hounded out in the 80s.

I wonder if, after spunking £27.5 million on him, with the press questioning why not go earlier for the lower release fee, the Man U board got immediate twitches over his transfer policy. Didn't exactly back him in the January window? Mind you, Moyes would've been used to that.

He ran more yards on average than any player on the pitch during his time here, with a high pass completion rate and his fair share of assist and goals. You're confusing languid with "can't be arsed" - not every player has to speeding around like James McCarthy to be a good player.

We didn't overpay for him at all, and when he left for United the price was a fair reflection on his contribution to us and his value to the squad as a player.

He's still a top player to this day, and I have no doubts at all that under a competent manager he'll shine. If a club sign him for under £15m they're getting a remarkable bargain.
