Reidy's Bottle Of Grecian

The Unobstructed View
which Everton player did you see and think YES we've got a blinder here and then fate took over and that was the end of him due to either injury or otherwise ?
i'll start you off with a lad who strutted his stuff like he owned the place, put his foot on the ball and whoever he came up against basically said ," i don't give a [Poor language removed] what you've done or what your name is 'cos i am BILLY KENNY
in fact i liked him that much i wish i'd thought of him when i was picking a username. i reckon he was FOOKIN' BRILL.(y)(y)(y)

I saw Billy Kenny too, such a waste of talent, but my player who couldv'e been the dogs bollocks was Martin Murray, who had to retire at a very young age due to a heart condition ( or so i was told ) I remember seeing him play in a pre season freindly at Goodison against Home Farm.

Danny cadamertri. Looked the dogs bollocks but not to be. really think he could of done so well. TBH, there are so many to choose from, richard dunne is another. just grew up to slow

Reidy he broke a lot of blues hearts with his addicition mate, the world was his, had skill to waste but he just couldn't stop abusing himself, he fell by the wayside right into the gutter, so sad.

I agree with Vim Martim Murray was another sad case.

David Smallman, having seen him at Wrexham I had every hope he would be another Roy Vernon. early serious injury put paid to that.

Yes, indeed, he was a wonderful player and he 'grew up' in the same reserve team as Mickey Thomas, Graham Whittle (Alan's bro), Joey Jones and Billy Ashcroft. I used to watch them play on a Monday night in the Northern Floodlit League which they won at a canter. Kids got in for free.
Dave Smallman was by far the most talented but his injuries were awful.

he was exactly what the lads on the terraces wanted to be, what we all 'imagined' we would be like if we could get on there. lets face it who didn't see vinny, vinny, vinny, shithouse jones cut someone in 1/2 and turn to their mate and say,"i'd give him a right good kickin' back given the chance"...he did.
trouble is i think he must have got a few too many whiffs from the paddock and wanted to be like everyone else. never really knew what had happened too him (heard plenty of rumours) and googled him , sad.
someone should've been looking after a talent like that !!!

Smallman looked to me to be every bit as good as Rush, he turned the [Poor language removed] down to come to his beloved blues, love to know what he is doing now, any offers?:

Joe Parkinson. Only because I know his grandad and he still cries when he talks about him playing.

Oh what i'd give to have him in our side right now, he'd be priceless.

Saw him at the Blackburn game a few weeks ago and my two nephews had their picture taken with him, top bloke...and he kicked Ince halway into the following week at Wembley (y)

There was an article about him in either the Evertonian or a programme not that long ago but I can't remember where he is now. For some time at least he was living in Connah's Quay. Damn, my memory is rubbish! Considering he was one of my favourite players too and I can't remember what's become of him.
I give all my programmes to a lad down the road so I can't go and look it up either.

Gosh lass I've been getting rid of a lot of my stuff as well, can't hold on to everything but they'll never take the memories(y)
