I'd imagine his agewnt passed him about everyone on a memo and MArtinez thought get him in, offer him a minimal contract, send him somewhere and if he can et on the pitch then it could be a cheap back up to coleman.

I mean to be fair, ask anyone about him, they all say he is Premier league quality, sadly he can't play for more than a game at a time.
 
Doncaster were very pleased with one told me he was very good, unfortunately after five games he was injured
came back and then got another injury.
I understand he is top class young Grant raves about how good he is,
he just can't stay healthy.

Played with some absolute legends of the game, Ronaldinho, David Beckham, Kaka, Andrey Shevchenko, Seedorf, Thiago Silva, and most importantly Philipe Senderos
 

He's a perfect representation of modern Everton: tantalising quality that could develop into something ace yet is clearly consigned to hard luck and doom.
