From current premier league teams, putting them in a league table on their most recent honours. 1 being the most recent cup winners, and 20 being the least. With our 95 cup final win we was a measley 16th place.
The time is now to win something this year surely!

Yeah unfortunately it did; even the johnstone paint trophy. But its still in their trophy cabinet at the end of the day

There's the flaw though as you can't win it if you aint in it, and if you are in it then that in itself suggests that you aren't having the greatest of era's.

Is our 7th place in there ? Our MLS Allstar Cup ? The Friendship Cup ?

If it is a talkSPORT idea it is by definition bollox.

I would much rather be potless thus past twenty years than have Championship, League 1 or League 2 titles to our name.

For obvious reasons.

Ditto the Johnstone Paints Cup....if we were playing in that Final then things would gave taken a severe turn for the worse.

Yeah i agree with this, even if it is a crap cup to win they are still competing against teams on the same level and have come out on top. We go into at least 3 comps at the start of the season, 4 this year and 2 of them realistically we can win.
We havent since 1995, which is awful

Was probably the only pot that Moyes won as a player that.

Are people actually making a claim for Johnstone Paint Trophies and lower tier winners medals as valid trophies to put us in 16th place? lol

Yes we've had a pathetic trophy haul in the last 20 years, but so have every club bar about the obvious 5. Newcastle haven't won the league for almost 100 years, the FA Cup since 1955 and their only European Trophy was in the late 60's - the Inter cities Fairs Cup. I suppose we're behind them on this joke of a list? lol

Aside from the money clubs the only clubs I can rattle of the top of my head what have won a pot worth mentioning since 1995 are Swansea, Wigan, Birmingham City, Portsmouth, Leicester, Middlesbrough, and Blackburn Rovers. Most were League Cup winners.

Would you trade places with any of those clubs?
