Hedgehog crisps were beef. They just rebadged it in a very misguided attempt at humour.

Smiths salt n shake. When I was at primary school we used to pretend the little blue packs of salt were packets of drugs.

Yes, I went to school in Salford.

As mentioned by Mick. Kettle chips, salt and vinegar. No contest.

as i also recall ....canny bags of tudor were the 1st to push the flavour boundaries. there tomato sauce were all the rage in our schoolyard, those and kickin each other in the knackers.

pastie... not really just thought i'd add it before chico arrives, although cheese & onion is a pastie type, wonder why no meat & potato crisps........mmmmm might patent it.

About 35 years ago a gang of us were fishing in the west of Ireland and we managed to convince a shop owner in Castlegregory Co Kerry that the latest in flavour was sherbet and cabbage. The entire gang acted as being distraught that he had none in, the poor sod assured us that he'd written to his supplier to make sure he had some in next time we called, I just didn't have the heart to tell him

But at least that sounds better than Hedgehog flavor...:D

I think I'm probably the only bloke in the world who doesn't like salt & vinegar crisps...

Plain salted is the way to go.

I like vinegar on chips though...
