Your talking real music now Dennis.............but that Pogues track is quite awesome. Shame about Kirsty McCol, her old fella Euan was sublime in the folk clubs of the 60's and 70's

Agreed on all points, Monty - although I only know of Ewan MacColl by reputation rather than experience, most notably his song 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face', of course.

That was about Kirsty after she was born, Dirty Old Town, Manchester Rambler, there are so many. One track, and for the life of me I can't remember its title he sings about having his ashes scattered to the wind in up on the fells.............staggering song and that is what happened to him
