What is your preferred cake? Nothing daft like birthday or Christmas cake, but style of cake. Any comments such as "I don't like cake" will just show you up to be the savage you probably are.
For me it's either Victoria sponge* or boiled fruit. Or date and walnut, or carrot, or coffee cake. Ginger cake goes down well too. I find chocolate cakes tend to be pretty dry and disappointing but will force one down if there is no acceptable alternative. Good old cake.
Clearly more research is required on my part to make up my own mind.
* something I found boring as a kid, but realised its something you have to be a certain age to truly appreciate.
