Mine are -
Top - Kanchelskis, Baines, Cahill
Worst ( there could be loads ) - Gbamin, Schneiderlin, Williams.

What are transfers?

Kanchelskis felt like a proper transfer, dragged on,top player and great impact
Any one of Cahill, Pienaar and Arteta. Incredible signings at incredible value
Super Kev on loan

Worst; Henry Newton, Williamson, Belfitt.

Yep H Newton aka, the glass kneed bluffer, aka, small fish in a small pond, we got him 5 yrs too late, but even back then he was made to look better than he was by his 'minder' Terry Hennessey

….not sure I’d even consider the likes of Kanchelskis and Lineker given the very brief time they were here. If we are considering short-term, I’d have Andy Gray as a better transfer than either.

Favourite and best are two different things. Favourite ones at the time were:

Amo - Nigerian players were hot to trot after the world cup in 94 and Amo came to us - at that time the likes of Alan Smith and Lee Chapman were generally the prolife type of striker in the league - so Amo came to us in the first wave of Foreign players - couldn't believe wed gone all exotic.

Kanchelskis - couldn't believe wed signed him, that Utd team were top trumps at the time and be like one of Citys best players players today lashing in a transfer request to push through a move to Everton. Wed just won the Cup, Joe was doing a magic job and it felt as if we we would be back to the big time in short order.

Not so much a player but Transfer window 07 was one of my favourites - The Yak, Baines, Jags, Manny Fernandes and Pienaar all came that summer it really felt as if we were building something and progressing after years of having no money and getting no where. What an incredible window that was in hindsight.

Favourite: Beardsley, Kanchelskis, James

Worst: Rooney to Man Utd, not just losing a player like that so early but everything around it,
board and kenwrights defenders, the kid with thank you for Rooney banner. Made me sick .

Best: The flurry in the late 90s when we got John Collins, Olivier Dacourt and Marco Matterazzi. Maybe just nostalgia of happier times in general.
