wrong, im saying that just because your 71 does not mean you cannot still maintain a healty lifestyle and be fit.

ok i can understand you cannot perform to the same level as footballers in their 20's and 30's but nonetheless you can still keep fit and healthy even if that involves brisk walks along the beach and lifting light weights.

Any argument you thought you were bringing to the table fell on it's arse as soon as you brought Sir Alex Ferguson into the debate.

Im going to end on this note.

This is a forum. People clearly do not grasp the concept of a forum. A forum is a place to air your views, and make debates. I have started a debate with the subject being 'Can a professional fit athlete contemplate taking serious advice from a coach who is overweight and clearly unfit'.

With any debate there is obviously going to be people who agree or disagree and will post their point of views and this causes activity. And this is what we all love, we love debate, making our opinions, putting them across.

Then it turns seriously wrong when people decide to pick point bits of the person's post to suit their own agenda. 'oh my god he used sheedy as an example, the heartless [Poor language removed], don't you realise he has cancer, your scum' etc... 'omg he's picking on a 71 year old who has had a history of heart problems and is super old, he's ageist and probably anti-scottish too'

erm no...

I can categorically confirm I have no agenda against sheedy, sir alex or even scottish people. Can people stop trying to twist my debate into something completely non post related and trying to make me look like some kind of prick.

If you think the debate is stupid, or pointless, or the 'worst thread' or whatever, then don't read, don't post, heck lets not even have debates ever again and let the forum activity die down and the site close eh.

Im just trying to spark a debate here, jesus.
