Are any of you blues attending the Farnborough Air Show? It is very likely I will be there with the C-130J Super Hercules. I am definitely putting Everton gear up somewhere in the plane. Let me know if you are coming out, hopefully can give you a guided tour of the bird.
 

Awesome.

When I was based at Odiham, our quarter was in the flight path for Farnborough and the first summer we were there, we sat in the garden having a bbq as the A380 did it's first UK display, closely followed by the Osprey tilt rotor.

The second best UK airshow for me, behind Waddington. Have fun Aviator, and enjoy the free beers if they do the hangar bash for crews again.

that's very kind of you dude! I can't make it as I'm working but great to know there's a blue in charge of one of those beasts

Nah. We are limited on funds and very limited on the amount of airshows we can attend. We are going to haul a load of Maintenance equipment to the show. Going to be a load of work, going to a hell of a lot of fun as well.

Jock, I bet that was awesome having your own airshow flying over your bbq. Will most defo enjoy a pint or two while I am there.

I will be in town for like 10 days if I make the crew. We have to cut another crew member before we leave next week. Really hoping I'm not that guy.

It was ace man. We had the outlaws down, I told them I'd arranged a fly past for them, then about two minutes later the Dead Sparrows flew over. Perfect timing. They never believed me like.
 

Was based at Waddington for 5 years, Used to put on a good airshow if your into that sort of thing

Remember one year my mate reversed into one of the Thunder Birds display teams planes, He got proper fooked for that

You a Southport boy Reidy?

We used to go to Woodford every year when I was a kid, long before the restrictions about flying over the crowd were brought in. My best memory was sitting on the car roof as a little un watching when a Jaguar screamed in full bore from behind us at about 200ft, scared the crap out of us. Excellent.

A lad I know used to plan all their routes etc. Had to plot their route for Southport 1 year and it was his mars birthday, he sent them directly over the pub beer garden at whatever the lowest is that they can be in a V formation 'cos his mar is a Vera or somethin'
 
If you ever do Waddington Air Show let me know and I'll be there with bells on (not literally although could be arranged) (y)
 
So the hotel we are at is not in Farnborough. It is in Guildford. Any intel on this place? Also is anybody from the board near here and know where a good place to snag a pint might be?
