With the stadium being built it should be the most optimistic time of my life as an Everton fan, but it feels like the exact opposite.

We are miles away from the top 6 and who could legitimately argue that we haven’t been overtaken (on most relevant metrics) by Leicester, West Ham, Wolves, Villa and Newcastle?

We have an awful squad and seemingly are unable to spend money even if we had it - itself debatable given the Usmanov situation.

It feels like however bad this season gets - we haven’t hit rock bottom yet, and that is frightening.
