Both those managers are stop gaps until they can bring in someone better. Chelsea had no choice losing hazard and can't sign anyone for 2 transfer windows, choice is limited.

What position of strength do you think we were in, languishing having had 2 years of Koeman and 6 months of Allardyce?

Could of easily been sacked half way through the season. He got hull relegated when they had Robertson and Harry Maguire playing in defense and still shipped in loads of goals.

He drastically improved Hulls form though didn't he? I mean under him they were what 11th/12th in the league. Before he arrived they were showing Huddersfield level of form. Ironically his work at Hull was (for my money) far better than his work at Watford.

United appointed a manager who was In the Norwegian league and relegated with cardiff.
Spurs appointed a manager from Southampton.
Liverpool previously appointed Roy Hodgson.
Chelsea just appointed manager who's only experience was one season in the championship.....
So you are talking wham .
:whip: Game. Set. Match. lol

Not doom and gloom.
The players coming in are great but it's with a second rate manager.
Put it this way would any of the top 6 gone for Silva from Watford if they needed a manager....... Didn't think so.

One of the keys to being a better coach is...ta da - better players, they give you a chance at more options and being better players more chance of a successful outcome to even the simplest instruction or task.
Brands is getting Silva better players, lets see what he does with them first, before you start calling for the taxi

Solkjaer is a stop gap
Pochettino showed signs he was capable of managing a better team wh n at Southampton
Hodgson was a massive mistake
Lampard joined them as they can't sign any player for 2 transfer windows and just lost hazard

Next.........
Do you really think Solskjaer is a stop gap ? I mean do you really think the money men at Manchester United would let a stop gap spunk 80 million on a defender just to keep a stop gap happy..... give your head a wobble

At what cost, he lent the club money as an interest free loan, how much is that up to now and when will it need to be paid back.
Still no funding for the stadium.
Wage bill is too high and having a negative net spend which is why there's losses
every year when the accounts are released.
Can't have a high net spend again this season or will breach ffp unless new income is raised
Having spent more then every team apart from united, city and Chelsea since he has been here the aim still seems to be "let's finish 7th".

Spending money with the wrong manager at the helm. Still hasn't figured out you need a good manager to win trophies
That new stadium really hurts some lads on here

Havreys head must be ready to explode.

All the kopites are in denial and still think we’re skint. He’s here regularly and is starting to realise that Zouma, Doucouré and Zaha could all be about to follow the business we’ve already done.

Reality is set in that money doesn’t seem to be any object here and with Brands / Silva doing very impressive work it’s only a matter of time but we’re back at the top table.
But they signed Adrian today and two teenagers and the SECOND most expensive defender in the whole wide world

Just read a pool fan saying oxlaide-chamberlain would be like a new signing, Keita is now up to prem speed and a fit Lallana will give them extra attacking options this season...
