I theorised that we've likely utilised most of the Chinese facility taken out last summer. There's no evidence either way yet.
I've also long expressed my doubts about the great warchest hype of summer 2016. If the accounts had shown we really had £100m net to spend on transfers, but failed to spend any of it, I'd hold my hands up. They don't.
The marketing and hype has raised ChelCity levels of expectation. While pointing out that reality suggests something on a lower level I've always recognised the Mosh is good for the club and never suggested that he was a fraud unlike well you know. Last May I said, "I’m delighted Mosh is here. I don’t question his commitment to the club... We’ve clearly benefited greatly. I’m only questioning the marketing."
When Mosh puts, 'Simeone is Everton's number one target' in the media there are those who think that means Simeone is coming and attack anyone who suggests it's not realistic. I think it was a marketing gimmick and I foreshadowed reality back in October, "I suspect, he'll (Moshiri) happily settle for the one most likely to protect his massive investment. Allardyce is the most proven in this situation."
There's nothing wrong with raising the clubs profile with a little bs nor is there anything wrong with me pointing it out. That's what this forum is for.
Anyway I'm delighted, profoundly grateful and genuinely relieved to see Moshiri [ Usmanov ;-) ] has provided £150m and the USM sponsorship. Such a huge investment means UsMosh is here for at least the medium term and won't get cold feet after the RK calamity. Hopefully 2018 will see the astute appointment of Sam paying dividends on field and increasing momentum towards the new stadium.

Since 31 May 2017, the Club has entered into transfer agreements for confirmed contracted net transfer fees payable of £60,639,000

Now admittedly, that isn't 100 million, but it's a goodly way towards it.

The figure quoted in the accounts as "loan from Shareholder classed as equity" is £105m, less £575,000 loan arrangement fees

I think in the context of the accounts the wages to turnover ratio is actually down to in the 50s%, could be wrong (again) on that. I imagine it prob went up in the summer though with our summer signings that said we shed a bit of fat as well and prob raised additional sponsorship.

The 150 mill loan should be outside the turnover and normal operational costs, shouldn’t it.

He’s some man if he’s converting it to equity if that what is being reported.

Re. the debt, there are basically four options going forward :-

1. He remains a shareholder and lets the debt run on
2. He converts the debt to equity and becomes the majority shareholder
3. The club's put up for sale at a price which reflects the enterprise value, so includes the debt
4. He asks the club for his money back and the club have to take out a loan to pay it back.

4 is very,very unlikely, but would likely massively bugger us up
3 is unlikely in the short term, but might happen in the medium to long term ( five to ten years say )
1&2 are by far the most likely scenarios

The people who thought, and may still think, that a wealthy accountant was going to run us into the ground financially, are looking a tad silly now, and the vaults may well have their say on this matter.

! & 2 would be the most beneficial to him, think on to new stadium and surely share value will climb.

I've just had another gander at the accounts. At year-end, we had net assets of ~92 million pounds as opposed to a deficit of (43) million pounds twelve months previously.

So, there, young man is,as near as damn it, your 100 million pound warchest, of which we spent ~60 million pounds. Now, in reality, not all of those net assets ( which are basically Moshiri's loans ) would have been available for transfers, but it's close enough for me.

Anyone who still thinks Moshiri is a fraud ( and, for the avoidance of doubt, I'm not pointing the finger at you here ), is in danger of looking very stupid. Have a great Christmas mate, and hopefully we'll see a net spend of ~20 million pounds in January
