Here's the thing.
Martinez's position had become untenable a good month before "the end".
We should never have entered that humiliating week which began at the Pit and ended at Wembley with Bobby still in charge.
The final straw should have been the day we scraped a draw home to Saints, just ahead of that fateful week.
Practically everyone on here posted as much.
Moshiri should have binned him then, then we might have had a chance of winning the Cup.
In short.....firing a manager whose time was clearly up does not show any great perspicacity on behalf of Mr. Mo.
But it would have done if Unsie had led the team out at Wembley
Because it is all about timing.

Everything still stinks a bit of Bill still being in charge.
4 months on and he will have been here 12 months. If due diligence was done which I am sure it was, I am sure he would have known the task at hand and had the ducks lined up to move things along.
As it stands today, sold Stones and invested some of it back into the team, the rest has gone on Walsh and Koeman it would appear.
Something needs to happen soon to allay the doubters fears. Not even a marquee signing in the summer, just safe and proven prem players. I appreciate a marquee signing may have been tricky to attract though due to the depths Martinez had dragged us back to, so benefit of the doubt there.
If my opening comment is not true, then I hope something happens very soon on the stadium front and it all isn't another usual Everton "build them up and let them down."

He must have done a lot behind the scenes as the other chairman from the boys pen, told us our ground would fail health and safety and here we are decorating the outside. So either he has done wonders fixing the ground up to standard or the real fraud, ya know the big blue was lying to us all.
