Do people honestly believe a savvy businessman like Moshiri actually text Jim bloody white?

In my opinion it was classic sky tactics, let's make the deadline day more exciting, I do not believe anyone from the club has ever text a SSN presenter, but I think we're too nice to come out and call them out in it, as we'll suffer from future TV revenue. I dunno, maybe I need to take my tin foil hat off but I think sky have well and truly had us off.

This is so Everton, absolute blind rage because we didnt sign a player none of us wanted? Sissoko was getting crucified on here for weeks as being lazy, going missing, being a mercenary etc. But because we were in for him on the last day, our missing out on him is now a disaster! Get a grip lads, i will have a bet with you now that at the end of the season Tom Davies will be better thought of at Everton than that great blert will at Spurs.
Nope . This isn't about Sissoko or 'marquee' signings . It's about the clubs failure to provide what was asked of it by the manager. Like it or not this is a serious failing. If you don't provide a workman with the materials to complete his job you will invariably get a bodge job. This is a failure through the whole window not just the last day . What's more it's happened year on year with different managers, complete with the now obligatory last minute panic signing of a low grade player.

Part of this is in another thread (See Below).

Moshiri in 6 months is not going to be an expert at this. He will learn (I Hope) and get the right people in (I Hope) to address the failures in this window and improve the commercial side of things. I think he leaned on existing infrastructure in BK and Elstone and found out it is weak.

I find it hard to believe those tweets are directly from Moshiri. If they are, a poor showing on him and hopefully never makes that mistake again. But I am going to give a new owner a little more latitude than someone that has been a chairman for over a decade and has not invested a penny of his own money into the club.

IF the stadium and land purchase is true than he will have done more for Everton in 6+ months than BK has done in 15+ years

Maybe Moshiri deserves blame for not pushing BK out earlier and not replacing Elstone with a competent executive.

Ultimately this whole transfer mess to me just reaffirms that BK and Elstone are completely out of their depth. The sooner they are gone the better. Spurs show how an organization is competently run by a strong executive and an owner that empowers his executive to make the decisions. We could do well to have a similar team in place at Everton. We MIGHT have the owner. But we certainly don't have someone as adept as Levy.

IF (and that'sa big if) that Jim White statement is true and mixed with the other ongoings
Moshiri no longer looks like this omnipotent ne'er do wrong business genius, he looks like a chancer, totally out of his depth having to go to Kenwright for guidance

That's for the on field stuff anyway. I'd expect sorting a stadium to be more in his repertoire though

Not holding my breath on that one.

Agreed, it doesn't sound at all like he's done a u-turn with 45 mins to go like Sky would have us believe:

Speaking in L'Equipe, Sissoko said: "I never went to Everton.

"It's funny. I was watching TV, and I saw that a deal had been done with Everton and that I had signed for them, but I was in London, waiting to sign my contract (with Tottenham)"

He was in London Wednesday afternoon/evening but so was Elstone who was trying to conclude a number of deals.

Had Sissoko travelled to Liverpool by plane I suspect Elstone would have travelled back with him to discuss personal terms.

Do you know who those deals were for? Valencia, I guess, and possibly Kone. Be interesting to know what positions we were looking to fill, and maybe get an idea of how January might pan out.

At least we didn't waste 13m this window.

Give him a chance like. Clearly some naivety from people at the club. A bit like when Moyes joined United and was it Woodward I think? They looked amateurish. And that was with the brand of Manchester United behind them.

A few windows later and they're looking far more astute in the window. So let Moshiri learn and hopefully we'll be a bit more wily next time.

United were even on the verge of signing Herrera at that time until their "officials" were exposed as hoaxers lol

The move fell through and Woodward was a laughing stock.

We aren't rich. Anyone who says so are lying.

Sell to buy and always will be. Sunderlands owner is richer, money doesn't matter if owners like ours are pocketing the TV cash.
