My biggest question is on the scale of the plans that Moshiri seems (by all accounts) to have for us.

I just don't feel like at £1.7bn he has the financial resources to see such ambitious plans through to completion on his own (if this rumoured 100m transfer budget is true, plus the £25m it's cost to remove Martinez and install Koeman, we're talking about over 7% of his net worth already!) - to me it does seem to imply that he believes someone will be joining him who will have the ability to throw very serious amounts of money around without massively impacting their overall net worth. Doesn't have to be Usmanov of course.

1.7b is just gueswork on available figures to places like forbes mate etc, his real worth is at least that, but likely a fair bit higher in all honesty.


On everything i have seen and read about this situation and that of Arsenal/Usmanov etc, just has the feel that sooner or later Usmanov will join Moshiri. Good though i already believe Moshiri to be, that would be a game changer on City like proportions as well, not only wealth but Usmanov almost single handedly saved Gazprom when it was in tatters and completely restructured/rebranded and brought back ino its fold most of its stolen assets, a truly remarkable feat actually, one which makes sorting efc out look childs play.

Depends really, mate. The richest man in the world could take over and not give us a penny to spend like Randy Lerner at Villa.

If Moshiri is willing to go personally skint buying us all sorts, which I doubt of course, we could be flying with or without anyone else.

That's my point though. Moshiri doesn't strike me (from the little we know about him) as some nutcase who's going to do half his fortune down the drain to make Everton successful. But the plans we're hearing sound almost like that's what he'd have to do to accomplish them (long term at any rate)... which is why i feel like there's someone else to come onboard.

Moshiri clearly knows that there is not a thing like 'splashing money into a club'. If you are a clever investor, you are doing an investment. Similarly as Abramovich/Mansour did. You buy players = investment - higher quaility of team and you can resell them, they can inivte more sponsors too. You build stadium = investment - it brings extra revenues. You buy training field = investment... In other words - if we buy reasonoble players with a use of outside resources for 100m, the price of our club likely goes up for around 100m. If Moshiri's builds us a new stadium for his own money, the price he could get for this club likely goes up for around that type of money he invests into it as well. And so on. And it is like money invite another money. If he invests into us, other people or companies are way more likely to invest into us/sponsor us. If you do things in a clever way, investing into a football club big money can lead into even a bigger profit, especially in today's huge PL TV money era. Even Abramovich did a superb investment with Chelsea. Abramovich throwed to Chelsea something like 1000m. But nowdays he could likely get more than these 1000m he throwed there back if he has decided to sell his club. At least according to a few financial researches the prices of the biggest football clubs are skyrocketing up massively. And as I think Moshiri looks like a really clever investor, I think he may easily decide to splash quite a big percentage of his wealth into this club. If he is doing things in a clever way, Everton can potentially get him a big profit.

I still have the feeling that there is more behind this takeover than has been revealed. From memory seem to recall BK had been meeting with Moshiri many, many months before the actual share transaction took place. Moshiri sold his Arsenal shares to his friend Usmanov, it could not have been a sudden decision methinks. Moshiri probably discussed at length his plans with Usmanov prior to selling his Arsenal shares. At the same time as selling his shares did he give up all his interest in R and W holdings? Still think at the back there Usmanov may ventually have an interest and follow Moshiri and at present is some sort of sleeping partner. Pure speculation and conjecture on my part, I know. When do the others- BK, Woods etc sell their shares could that be the signal for Usmanov to step in and acquire them? Just have a feelin that is all.

Its still around 20m for the group stage and upwards of 40-50m if you can make a real run in it.

Moshiri sold his holdings in R&W. R&W is the holder of 30.04% of Arsenal's shares. BK, JW and AA have signed options agreements for their shares with Moshiri.

Not quite.

His holding company BHH in the I.o.M owns the right to acquire the shares on his behalf. If other investors were to come in alongside Moshiri I'm pretty certain they would acquire shares in the holding company not Everton directly (similar as to how R&W Holdings was constructed for Moshiri and Usmanov to hold their Arsenal shares).

It's not certain though that other investors are going to join him, nor is it certain it is necessary.
