Fans that boo.

A lot being made about the apparent booing of Ross Barkley. Didn't so much hear booing, it was more a case of 30,000 or so people screaming "Turn!!!" EVERY SINGLE FECKIN TIME he gets the ball. The lad is clearly short on confidence and bang out of form, but it seems 'pressure' is the new 'support'

On the other hand, we had the booing of the substitution. Whether Besic was injured or not is neither here nor there, Martinez has just got the backlash from every other time he has took Besic off and left Barry on over the last month or so. I don't think necessarily think Barry has been playing that badlyover the last 3 or 4 games btw but I will never understand the logic of playing him every single minute of every single game. I won't believe another word Martinez says about squad management while he continues to overplay a 33 year old

I don't boo personally but people have every right to do it at the moment, they pay there money and if they aren't pleased with what they are seeing they are entitled to voice their displeasure.

What I'm more arsed about and embarrassed about, was the fact that, more people inside Goodison last night showed more support for a rocky film at half time than for our struggling team, who make no mistake about it are in deep trouble. It was absolutely embarrassing.
If that's the case then yes, very embarrassing. Watching the 2nd half on tv when I woke up this morning...no atmosphere at all....all negativity in the crowd

The football we are playing is embarrassing and extremely boring. Last nights game was literally an abomination, anyone who boo'ed had the right to imo

It was certainly the case mate unfortunately. You could hear a mouse fart at times during the first half. But as soon as rockys cameras came out the ground exploded into life. I sat with me head in my hands cringing into my seat.

If fans want to pay to go to the game and boo the manager, the players, the chairman or even bloody Stallone then that's their own prerogative. Do whatever makes ya happy, as people have pointed out... you're entitled to do it.

It's like the free-speech thing... you're entitled to it. However , that doesn't mean that what you choose to do with your entitlements is immune from making you look like a [Poor language removed].

Incredibly embarrassed for the club and fans by the level and length of booing with regards to the the Besic <-> Kone substitution. Removing a yellow carded, 21-year old central defensive midfielder and bringing on a striker when we're chasing the game... and then getting booed for it as if it were a striker for a center back... it's just plain nuts.

I know, I know, everyone hates Gareth Barry at the minute (and he's old and was on a yellow as well)... but seriously, grow up. It seems to me that a section of the fans don't just want Martinez gone.... the don't want a manager full stop. They just want a little vote button at their seat to decide tactics and substitutions. Football fans have just been ruined by too much Fifa, Football Manager and 'Expert Punditry'...

The atmosphere at the old lady right now is poisonous, whatever you think about fans having a right to make it that way... ask yourself "is it helping?" If not, then what exactly is it that you want to achieve? Other than this bollocks of "making my displeasure known"... we all know you're unhappy, we're ALL unhappy, nobody is just breezing along not a care in the world (especially not Roberto or the team).

Everton fans are the BEST fans in the world. We are born not manufactured. We do not choose, we are chosen. Those who understand need no explanation. Those who don't ... don't matter... But unfortunately there's a good section of us who right now who are acting like spoiled children.

Spot on. After sitting in silence through the first half, everyone in the Park End started cheering & singing during the half-time filming - grown men jumping around like complete bellends. Second half kicks off and everyone sits down quietly. I'm no superfan but it was one of the most pathetic things I've seen in a football ground

Do the rest of the fans, our players, our manager and our club all a favour and don't bother please. You have just helped to undo that fragile growing confidence in the team. Never been so angry in all my life at poisonous atmosphere at the minute.

While I agree to a degree when he took Besic off instead of Barry I could hardly believe it and that's why people boo, it's at his decisions

They're professional footballers on tens of thousands of pounds a week who are in a privileged profession. We are hard working individuals who line their pockets every week to give them a luxurious lifestyle to which we can only dream of having.

All we ask is they put effort in fight to the last breath, which they are not, they're acting like spineless children.

I wont get booed at work if I under perform, I'll get sacked. I know which I'd rather have

To wit......the "reward" for not having to go to Bristol this weekend is a week away from the bleak winter weather in England in the warmer climes of the Persian Gulf or thereabouts.

You cannot even begin to compare how top class footballers are treated in their profession to how the rest of us are.

You ain't allowed to boo.

It doesn't sound good on TV as it offends the eardrums of the teeming masses watching at home.

So us poor chumps that sit freezing our knackers off watching this crab ball are requested to shut the feck up and applaud politely as we stifle our yawns.

:(

I am with you mate, as some one said bring back the cushions! (I remember them and them being thrown onto the pitch).

People pay a lot of money to go to games these days and even more it you travel to away games so the guff that comes out of Roberto is inexcusable. There is talk of him losing the dressing room, how about he is losing a lot of Everton fans because of his no change attitude even though it is all downhill.

Barry didnt play too badly, Ross should of been the player to make way for Kone, for whatever reason he wasnt having an impact on the game atall. If Besic did pick up a knock then fair enough but he seemed fine to me and certainly wasnt shying away from the ball.

I don't boo, but i was livid. I said alot i wouldn't usually say and i apologised to the lady infront after swearing for about the millionth time.

But i don't have a problem with those who boo, we're a disgrace and i'd much rather fans show their feelings than clap along and pretend it's all ok. Thats worse than booing imo.

These are grown men playing football in the premier league, not kids in a park. If they're fragile then they're not cut out for football at the top level. We did nothing to win that game AGAIN last night, didn't feed Lukaku, didn't shoot, just the same old rubbish.

Fans stick up for Everton too much, i hear 10x a game how Lukaku is crap and lazy, yet someone shouts at Ross and they're told "he's a kid!" THEY'RE THE SAME AGE!!

Personally if i was doing everything wrong at work, i'd want a boot up the a*se rather than my manager and colleagues clapping me and saying "well..maybe next time"

For all the people who boo booers...YOU'RE THE PROBLEM! Singing and making noise at half time...where were you supporting the team you refuse to boo? It was SILENT

Good point re Lukaku and Barkley. People aren't booing Barkley, but he's getting the kind of jeers that Lukaku has had on a number of occasions

You can feel the atmosphere when you walk into the stadium, it's poisonous, people turn up with all intention of booing as soon as something goes wrong, moaning if someone misplaces a pass from the first minute. If the supporters can feel it then the players must be able to ten fold.

Imagine getting boo'd at work everytime you done something wrong.

'Booooooo, they asked for a large fries!!'
Totally different. I'd expect the right fries if the server was earning 50 grand a week!!
