Fancy writing about Everton for a new online website?

You could become Everton’s editor for Catflap Magazine’s new Premier League football blogs, with the chance to earn yourself some cash in the process.

If you’re an opinionated, passionate and knowledgeable fan, and a talented writer to boot, you could be the perfect candidate to become a fully-fledged member of the Catflap team.

Offering prizes of £250 for each month’s top blogger, you will be required to post at least three stories a day about your team on www.catflapmag.com, whilst also editing and maintaining your site.

You will also get the chance to win two yearly prizes of £1,000, one for the editor who makes the most posts and one for the editor who we feel has made a contribution over and above the call of duty.

If you fancy your chances then get in touch with us here editorial@madeupmedia.net

Wouldnt it make more sense to actually go out and get a journalism job and get paid much more than write on a blogging website?

a lot of people do their own blogs simply for the sake of writing on the team that they love. they do it for nothing other than having a platform to talk about their team and venting their passion. it's the chance to edit your own site and have your name as editor. for anyone wanting to go into journalism this type of experience, showing initiative and a willingness to write, is priceless when it comes to interviews.

the money is largely just a bonus.

I might be interested but you dont actually get paid do you? i mean only the top person gets the £250 a month dont they?

I was about to start a long post about how I'm a budding young journalist and the editor of my school newspaper. But seeing as I'm currently doing A Levels I don't really have time to write 3 articles a day.

If you ever fancy throwing money at me for the odd article though I'd be more than happy :P (y)

as i said before it's more for people who are interested in writing on everton and have a passion for football. the prizes are there for those who do the best but that shouldn't be the main reason for doing it.

So what is this forum for then? This is the place to be if you want to talk about Everton whether it be to fawn over the players or to have a bitch and gripe. There is not a lot of prestige to be associated with having your 'own site' on somebody else's site.

That's a bit like saying there is no prestige writing for a newspaper if you don't own the newspaper. Forums are indeed the perfect way to vent gripes and opinions in a discussion.

But anyone with any writing flair or journalistic ambitions may want more. It's an opportunity to write the articles that will be discussed in forums like these.

but for someone who doesnt work therefore doesn't earn money and is in full time education, along with previously helping run a site i was a major part in, I dont have the time for doing three articles per day, I was the original Everton journalist on VitalFootball but didnt have the time.

No, it's not FelineFine. Don't come the raw prawn, please.

It's about you using the enthusiasm and free work of supporters who may not be web-savvy to add content to your website which you can then monetise.

What utter tosh.

As a former journalist, I can tell you that you get paid for your work as well as having your articles read and appreciated by your target area. You, on the other hand, offer prizes which equate to 12 quid a month for 90 articles. That would then be, um, 13p a post.

And I forgot. Your "editors" are supposed to do the social networking and link-monkey work for your site as well.
