I used it for a while. it eventually worked out better to pay for copies of service records/ census records I wanted seperately so binned it.
some good features though.
 
Your local record office will be absolutely free to use the census records - usually in your biggest civic library. I've used the tokens online and they run out after about three searches for a fiver.

If you have any Irish ancestry their census records are free to use online. http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/

Parish records/voter registry books/Probate index books/miltary records (online for many wars and many regiments/naval crafts) all have info but as with all this you need addresses and you need spot on DOBs and...if you have an unusual surname it makes it all the more easier!!!
 
I find it good for starting off and also if you get really far back. I'm back to 1600's and it becomes valuable to make sure you have the correct info before going off to record offices. I find a combo of ancestry, family search, and trudging through good old fashioned record offices the best approach.
 

my grand-grandfather in Astoria, Usa. 1913-1920, he is first from right. 24 years old Alfred dude :D they went to work there, in railroads, logging, fishing....gambling. rumours has it that he had another family there.
