I grew my beard really long, grey and bushy through spring. People joked that I'd get birds nesting in it. It was all a disguise so that when long enough I shaved it off to leave an fulsome bushy moustache, like a broom, which I can now wax into spindles either side and twirl when I want to look menacing.

Hate facial hair, i mean on me, anything thats long enough to be shaved gets shaved!! How people can stand it in heat i dont know!

The worst thing to come out of the recent resurgence in beards is those people with horrible, patchy, pube beards thinking they look nice with mangy looking abominations stuck to their face. Awful.

Anyway, I use a double edged razor. Closest shave ever and cutting down on the plastic waste from cartridge razors makes me feel slightly better about the mountain of containers my curry obsession creates.

I had a full beard in my early 20s but shaved it off at the "request of" my wife to be. I've grown a "Van Dyke" since I retired and think it suits me.

I've had some form of facial topiary going on since my late teens, nothing ever seems to last more than a couple of months.

Hate shaving, hate having a beard more. My skin is poop so I can’t shave daily and can’t go more than a week or it becomes blotchy and red under the beard.
And yes I moisturize, have a hydrocortisone cream I use daily.

Takes me ages to grow a beard, which is fine with me, as I hate shaving and only have to do it every 3 days or so.

I have a beard only because 1) I am lazy, 2) if I didn't have a beard then you'd see more of my face, and no one wants that.
