At least we got what we needed out of him in the games where he could be useful.

I doubt that Lampard will be looking to camp on the edge of our box in these next two games, so Delph would be at serious risk of getting the run around anyway.

Hopefully, if worst comes to it, he'll be fit for another potential dig-in job at Arsenal.

Sadly we saw the best of him when he was due to leave. Clearly a good footballer even if he isn't a good athlete.

Shame his body is broken down really because he is neat and tidy as a DM probably gone in the summer now

If we stay up. He leaves with a bit more good will from me. Since his return, he's not really put a foot wrong and been a very influential player for us.

Had to pinch myself feeling despondent about him missing tomorrow. I count myself among his biggest critics but in fairness he's done a half decent job recently. Farewell Fab. Nice knowing you.

I'm not a big critic of Delph as a player, I just don't think he is value for money, he hardly ever plays because of injury, but, when he does, he sometimes shows glimpses of the player he once was. Pep and City sold us a pup here,when you think of his transfer fee, his wages and how few games he's played in his time here, he has been an absolutely disasterous signing, and yet, still we hear the 'give him a one year extension' cries. No thanks lads you need to play more than a handful of games a season to justify wages like his.
