At least we got what we needed out of him in the games where he could be useful.

I doubt that Lampard will be looking to camp on the edge of our box in these next two games, so Delph would be at serious risk of getting the run around anyway.

Hopefully, if worst comes to it, he'll be fit for another potential dig-in job at Arsenal.
 


I'm not a big critic of Delph as a player, I just don't think he is value for money, he hardly ever plays because of injury, but, when he does, he sometimes shows glimpses of the player he once was. Pep and City sold us a pup here,when you think of his transfer fee, his wages and how few games he's played in his time here, he has been an absolutely disasterous signing, and yet, still we hear the 'give him a one year extension' cries. No thanks lads you need to play more than a handful of games a season to justify wages like his.
 

He's got his name above the physios bed he's injured that often, on huge wages, he absolutely cannot be given an extension.
