No Wow factor as expected, hopefully he'll go on to be as influential as Gareth Barry but all I can see he brings is a change of name on the bench.

I'm not slagging him off btw, good luck to him.

For those who have been watching the preseason games, how he been?

His handling of the ball is probably the best of all our midfielders. He can pick a pass and a long volley without any difficulty. He isn't as physical as Gomes is and can lunge in a tackle which can be nasty and he'll probably get a few cards for those.

Blue Roo said; If it's viewed more laterally, you've got Digne, Delph, Bernard and Sig down the left and Gomes, Richarlison and Coleman down the right.

Last season we settled down - to my surprise - playing Bernard on the left and Richarlison on the right. It worked, though I doubt that right wing will be Richarlison's permanent place. I also thought that Gomes and Gana made a good partnership in midfield. But it's difficult to discuss formations until we know what our full squad will be.

As yet, it's not clear to me where Bernard, Sigurdsson, Richarlison or Delph will play. I'd say that Sigurdsson and Richarlison are the most difficult to place if they are to make a proper contribution. But I would like our first choice team to have a place for each of them.

Without him kicking a ball for us in anger yet, i am quickly becoming happier & happier with his arrival at the price paid. I think i just needed 48hrs to really digest it.
Not a game changing addition but one that looks quite smart once you climb off the wall in anger that he's not a striker, right back or centre back or 18 years old with a £35m price tag that we all want.
You've potentially aquired a £50m player for a paltry £9m! Delph is a great signing and I hope he's successful at Everton.

Seems to have grown up a lot and comes across as a decent lad. I wasn’t particularly fussy on him during his Villa days and the way he left was hardly amicable.

Looks to have learned a lot during his City days. When he signed I admit I was underwhelmed however if his experience plays a part in us improving long term I’m all for it.

Watched him as a youngster coming through the ranks at Leeds. The evil Ken Bates was never going to sell him. The rest is history. I think you have signed a great player,I hope Everton have a great season, and our lot manage to go up and play you next season. Looks promising for you with quality you are bringing in.
