for the first time in I dont know how long maybe 5-10 years, I havent been able to go/watch/listen/follow-on-net to an everton match.

I was on my up to southport and listened to the first half an hour on the drive up.
It was 6 o clock before i found out the score via someone on the phone in going apeshit.

I was gutted for all of 30 seconds and then thought [Poor language removed]-it.

I'm not sure why, its never really happened before.
Maybe its because of tuesday vs chelse and the semi an all that, plus europe ticking along nicely.

I know the F.A. is bigger than either, but we have already negotiated two cups.
A win today and we may have faced manyoo, arsenal, chelsea and the rs in the next consecutive rounds.
Given that the FA is still a major trophy there is no way we would be allowed to get to the final.

I'm happy overall, I'm not gonna let today sour the great season so far.

I couldnt help having a quick look on toffeeweb, where they are queueing up to let today ruin their lives.

tits!

Well I'm not going to kill myself, but I am arsed that we are out of this competition.

The Uefa Cup is not going to be easy, and lets face it we haven't beaten Chelsea in 200 years. So I was hoping for a decent run in the FA Cup, and its been flung out of the window like a bucket of [Poor language removed] in Tudor times.

Did they used to throw [Poor language removed] out of windows in Tudor times?

Thats [Poor language removed], I wouldnt be happy if I was walking past. Loads of pistols at dawn then? Was there even [Poor language removed] pistols then? Ok then jousting or something.

i Hear ya.
we'll probably get beat by chelsea and wont win the uefa either.

But the only thing i was arsed about is that grinning [Poor language removed] lee hughes being on the winning side.

Maybe if i was there, or went through the frustrations of listening to it, it'd be different.

But i would rather have a kick up the arse in the early stages of the fa rather than the latter stages of the league and uefa cup.

And I'm surem moyes WILL use it as a kick up the arse!

Didn't bother me to be honest. We're already well advanced in two cups and doing well in the league so having a run in the FA Cup was always going to be difficult. If this was our only cup then fair enough, I'd be a bit upset but this season it's probably games we could do without.

You see, that's what I find incredible. Games. [Poor language removed], we played more games at school.

15mins at break
45mins at lunch
15mins at second break
2 hours after school

180mins a day for 5 days and probably a good couple of hours at the weekend.

Footballers play one maybe 2 games in a week. Train 3 or 4 hours a day, then play Golf or relax in a plush car.

Blaming games is just another way to let off steam when the result went the way you wanted. Wenger does it, Benitez is always doing it and as for Fergie. Its bollocks.

Players cover around 10,000 metres each match. You won't find long distance runners doing a couple of races per week for a few months. They probably could do it but their performance would suffer. That's the point. We want players at peak performance, not ones run into the ground.

Don't buy it mate. Footballers have an easy life, the easiest life of anyone. They get paid money that far exceeds their superstar ego's. They drive around in plush cars. Have nice houses, nice clothes, get invited to all kinds of events.

And all they do is moan about how many games they play. Well what about the poor [Poor language removed] who has to work nights in a factory making [Poor language removed] and then runs 10,000 metres on a Sunday league footy match.

I'd be amazed if the average Sunday league player ran 10,000 in a match. It's like people that watch the swimming in the Olympics and reason it must be easy because they do some lengths each week. Completely different world.

I'm sure the money and the afternoon off helps.
