Roger Bennett: Everton host Fulham. Timmy Howard, St. Landon clash with Clint Dempsey. Winner takes bragging rights to be "America's Team."

Grant Wahl (who may attend): Fired up to see Fulham (Dempsey) vs Everton (Donovan/Howard/Hahnemann) in 4th-round FA Cup clash later this month.

It just occurred to me that if that's the formation that's played, we'll literally see Clint going straight up against Landon unless Moyes plays Drenthe out right.

Based on how we played last night, I'm dreading this game as usually I can say we're better than Fulham. Now, not so sure.
 

Clint Dempsey is going to pound us into the turf on Friday. Another hat trick for him today. The man is ON FORM.

I'm a little scared for LD and Tim. And again pissed that we probably won't get to see any of it.

Can I say how peed off I am that this is on Friday.

I love my weekends and this one is going to to be ruined before it even starts when they dick us all over the show.

A Friday night FFS?! I'm a night owl and this annoys me.

Don't be scared. The saving grace is that they often follow up a good performance with a poor one. Plus when the come to GP they either freeze or are very unlucky. We could do with someone like Dempsey at the moment though.

This competition is the only one that matters for us right now, short of staying up from relegation, which we will do. I hope Moyes fields a good team.

Being that Fulham is likely in the same boat, I also see them fielding a decent XI.

Their form right now is excellent. Ours is not.
 

After watching replays, Clint Dempsey scored his three goals today from the left cutting inside. He and Landon will be going head to head.

Not with Phil Neville defending against Clint Dempsey we won't. Clint is Fulham's leading scorer right now and their primary threat.

Clint will eat Pip alive, Phil's too slow for Clint's footwork. As a result, Landon is going to have to spend a ton of time helping Phil out. Which will lead to him being gassed and tired. Which will lead to our attack dying as he is the only one driving it forward right now (minus Baines' crosses).

I am not one to be the pessimist, but I don't see how we're winning this game if Fulham fields a decent XI.

Bryan Ruiz should also see time here, and he is a handful. Has a long shot to strike fear in people's hearts. Tim will be tested, so he needs to bounce back after his horror show today.

It's either going to be 0-0 cause we'll be parking the bus until someone scores off a set piece and wins, or it's going to be ugly.

Hope I'm wrong.
