It's very very petty though. A few seasons back the instruction on offside were benefit to the attacker.

Now you get pulled for nostril hair being beyond the last man. And yes, technically, nostril hair could play a part in scoring a goal of you messed up a diving header.
I think the perception was always that linesman should favor the attacker. I'm not sure anything written ever said that.

haha. You're a cockney if you're born in a certain part of the East end (sound of bow bells).

Calling a Chelsea fan cockney is like calling someone born on the Wirral a scouser.

West Ham are the only cockney team in the prem (although alot of their latest generation of fans are prob born in Essex because alot of people have moved out that way from London)
To be honest anyone south of the M62 is a cockney

You may well be right there, often spoken about in commentary or post match debates, so something somewhere must have been indicated.

It's probably similar to the reports that clubs were told by referees to go down when they feel contact. Not formally codified stuff either. But there's a shared understanding.

I'm over the moon for Leicester. What a revelation they've been since getting back into the prem, they've had a lot thrown at them but have stuck to the plan and deserve a massive well done. They're a great example of how investing well and sticking to a strategy can bring you success. Wish we had done the same back in the Koeman days but we seem to have learnt our lesson now. Hopefully we can do something similar to Leicester in the coming years.

Fair play Leicester. Kick charlatans like Bill out of our club, even in no mark roles, out to feck! Replace with people in the club who will settle for nothing but the best. It starts from the top.

Ranieri and Puel were the best?

Leicester took opportunities when they came about.

We don't.

We brought in Leicester's DOF and spent £300million

If that's not backing I don't know what is.

I really wanted Leicester to win and they were hanging on. Honestly, I was just as nervous as I am when Everton are a goal up late in the game.

Leicester had never won the Cup and can you imagine the pain, especially for their older supporters if they'd lost?

The rules were written to essentially be enforced by a human refs vision which would account for things such as a hand being on or off whereas VAR just takes the human element away from it which is the issue.

Only thing they could do is make it so offside only applies to parts of the body that an opponent can legally score from which would put an end to someone's finger being offside
I'm pretty sure the rule used to be this way.
