FA Cup Final

Dont like chelsea but seeing Leicester get top 4 and the FA cup while we languish will be very annoying

I could tell you who won the cup that year going back decades but for the last ten or so years I couldn't other than taking a guess it was Arsenal, Chelsea or City.

Was just thinking the exact same. At a stretch, could probably have a decent stab at the scorers as well.

As an aside, I have seen and held a real life FA Cup winners medal. To a young boy, it seemed magical, and massive!

Hope Chelsea win. Not that I'm bothered about Leicester but I think if they do miss out it will give them extra incentive to make sure they dont blow top 4

I feel very sad that the FA Cup has been reduced to the sideshow that it is. It was the big football day as a kid and no matter who you supported you still rooted for one or other on the day. Vividly remember as a 7 year old being gutted that Preston lost.
The FA Cup was from a different time, when valour and glory mattered in the game.
The greed that created the Premier League sounded the death knell for the FA Cup.
Oh......and we still haven’t won it.
Yeah, I watched my first FA Cup final in 1970 between Chelsea and Leeds as an 8 year old and haven't missed a final since. I wanted Chelsea to win that one because they played in blue and I felt a bit sorry for them after we beat them 5-2 on our way to winning the league.

It used to be a massive occasion and was always the last match of the domestic season. Only the European Cup final was played after it.

Coverage used to start at 9am and I'd sit through the whole thing, even rubbish stuff like the It's a Knockout special with fans from both teams.

It's sad that it's lost a lot of the grandeur it once had.

Not bothered who wins to be honest. Hopefully Leicester make top four.
Also think they will not be as good next season and won’t be near the top four. Vardy doesn’t score as many as he used to and there back line rely’s on a 33 year old Jonny Evans.

Remember the good old days of the FA cup final when it would start on the tele from about 9am. Showing the teams in the hotels before the game and then following the coaches all the way to the ground.
Was quality compared to the coverage it gets now.

No twin towers, not the same. The new Wembley looks plastic and corporate. Neither team is comprised largely of British players who came up from the streets understanding what ye FA cup means. Its a game between two sets of mercenaries. Genuinely have little interest compared with my youth.

I'm fed up with Chelsea buying this Cup so I'm all for Leicester winning it - not for the club but for the city.

Which means Chelsea will win obviously.

Not keen on the final being played before the season ends, and on a weekend where there’s PL games played, but it’s great seeing fans at Wembley giving a proper atmosphere
