FA CUP 4TH ROUND DRAW

We went down the other year. Without going all green street, there was a small firm of villa on the train, and the main lot hired a coach. I’m not involved, I just overheard the lot on the train talking. Anyway I made my way to London Bridge after getting off at Euston. We found a pub and it was mixed. Ended up drinking with some old Millwall fans who were proper sound, but could tell a tale or two. They said all their nutters were out for the villa game as they saw it as a big club with good support coming to town. Once in the ground with the game already kicked off groups of villa started walking in with black eyes and bloody noses. That lot on the train and on the coach had found a pub, then Millwall found them. A few of our lot tried having a go at the home end on arrival at the ground, but got their backsides handed to them. Compared to the old days what happened that day was nothing, but they will certainly be looking at this fixture and gearing themselves up for a big northern club coming to town. Add to that Everton have a very passionate fanbase and won’t shy away. It was a great atmosphere from the Millwall fans, and there was only 15k of them. Have a good day lads and lasses.

Anyway, bringing it back to football.

The teams last time we played (2006 at Goodison right?).

What. a. side.

I think Millwall are the ultimate anthesis, to the likes of Bournemouth Brighton and Cardiff etc.Three bland and soulless clubs, with nothing to offer to the top flight. They are a proper working class club, with proper down to earth working class support.I'll say this as well, at least they aren't Leeds!Of course Tim Cahill came to us from them as well.
Have you had issues on the South coast mate?

Wouldnt fancy this myself, i got dragged to an Ipswich Vs Millwall game 20 odd years ago when they were relegated the game before.

After the match street fights...coppers with horses in the crowd etc etc

I ended up in ipswich town centre and saw the pubs boarded up...got a taxi :)

Can see this being Friday night or an early kick off, the plod wont want it to be 3pm on a Saturday, I got the train last time and it was a terrible away tbh, dry train and an escort from euston there and back.

They did in 2006 because we threatened to travel without tickets I recall. They just didn’t sell the corner sections
Hopefully they do the same for us but when they gave Leicester the bottom tier and milwall beat them they got on the pitch and tried to get at them ha
