Can probably put a strongish team out with 3 days off between the New Year’s Day game and this. Then have your biggest guns ready on the bench if God forbid a rescue mission is required.

Hi Plumbob...

Compare Burnley's XI with ours.

Last year the third round had 7 UK TV games which are broadcast globally. The US typically has two more games from the 3 pm kickoffs. I agree the 8 you've listed are all more appealing so it's down to us being one of those that the US broadcaster picks up at 3 pm. I don't feel good about it.

For some reason i was thinking that US/International broadcasters didn't actually show any of the 3pms from the 3rd round. But even then they'd probably show Bournemouth/Brighton or Norwich/Portsmouth before us :(

I'd say there is less than 1% chance of it being shown on TV anywhere in the world unfortunately.

Chances are it will be out of Man U/Reading , Tranmere or Southport/Spurs , Newcastle/Blackburn , Chelsea/Nottingham Forest , Wrexham or Newport/Leicester , Solihull or Blackpool/Arsenal , Wolves/Liverpool and Man City/Rotherham.
I think we will be on TV there

Shrewsbury away ratters as manager =out of the cup -
millwall at home out 2-0 defeat ....
crap happens so it's no give me....
We always do poor v lower teams sometimes......
My late father went all the way to Sunderland in the 1960's it was a easy tie they were in the old Division 1 half tin losing 3-0 got only one back.......

I live 100 yards from Haig Ave - Spurs here certainly would be an event.

I remember Sheff Wed at Haig Ave in 2010 when we equalised twice but fell apart after that.

If they can beat Tranmere it would be some achievement and now there's every incentive.

I wonder whether they'd switch it to Wembley rather than Haig Avenue?

Hope we take this serious, no room for thinking were big bollocks in a cup we havnt won for 23 years

Hopefully Silva learnt from getting put out of the league cup by a terrible Southampton side already this season
