They’ve come in with a lot of updates and it’s a relatively smooth track so porpoising not as much of an issue. So he could well be competitive for the win but the weather was a bit all over the place and so lots of drivers didn’t get many laps in. I’ll be so happy if he wins this weekend what with it being his home GP and all the awful stuff he’s had to deal with from Piquet. Would be an amazing F-you
Add to that, Sky were doing an analysis of Hamilton's and Verstappen's laps and the consensus was one was far more aggressive, giving a lot, than the other.

It's great to see Lewis pushing towards the front and Silverstone, the track he loves, with an improved car, but sadly I think Red Bull will go up a gear today.

In terms of Pique, he can k'off. F1 should completely shun him from the sport from now on as the interview clearly shows the person he is.

Verstappens first flyer just then points that way.

Aye. Button was saying he may have had less fuel therefore running a simulated qualifying lap, but part of me feels that was him trying to be optimistic.

Max has just knocked even more off his lap, so I think we'll likely see a RB poll unless Lewis can throw out something spectacular and Max drops time.

Oooh, the heavens have opened at Siverstone right on top of quali.

As a layman, I wonder what actually causes it because surely they're turning at a rate that isn't much different than others, so is it grip/down-force?

No idea, seems like Mercedes don't either judging by Russells comments in FP3

Perez absolutely nowhere
