It's always more difficult to chase after a championship with a faster car than defend one with a solid and reliable package that you understand well. As things stand, I don't rate their chances at all.

Their development rate is going to be so much quicker once they get that data though. They’ve understood over the last two races.

I think the philosophy of the car will either unlock domination once understood or they’ll bin it.
 

Merc would have struggled to get into Q3 anyway I think based on their tyre warm up issues, they should be a bit better in the race but that's not saying much.
 

It's amazing how bad Mercedes are. They're getting absolutely nowhere with this troublesome car.
Whatever their wind tunnel data shows, its clearly not translating to the track.


There may be a very fast car in there somewhere in theory, but in practice it just doesn't work.
 
I’m starting to think they should make it so if you wreck and can’t continue you go to the back of the grid or at the very least the back of whatever quali session you crashed out in.

Frustrating quali session but at least we get a sprint race to try and make up for it tomorrow.
