Fifa has given the green light for ex rangers players including NAISMITH to begin careers with new clubs. Boooom.

Just spotted this on sky sports news

All of them have been given clearance by Fifa. Not sure why Uefa are relevant.

Sorry, meant FIFA. It was only Ness now it's all them. It's only a provisional clearance though. A matter of course:

FIFA INTERNATIONAL TRANSFER CERTIFICATE:

"An Association, having received a request from another Association, is obliged to issue an International Transfer Certificate...Should The Football Association not receive an International Registration Transfer Certificate, or a reply stating a reason why this is not being issued within 30 days of the request, then a provisional clearance can be issued."

Yes, it's only provisional, but Rangers haven't got a hope if we go legal.

Great. Hopefully we see Naismith in action today

My understanding is that if 30 days hasn't elepased since the time an international request was subitted, then he wont have that provisional clearance to play...only games behind closed doors. Ness has his because the required period to wait for the prvisional registration has timed out.

Thee's a year between a provisional licence being issued and the full registration of any of these players. Right now Rangers/Sevco/Newco/Whatever are all over the place organisationally. I suspect things will settle with them and they'll make some stab at getting compensation. Southampton have just coughed up £800,000 for Davis to avoid the controversy.
