I personally feel articles like Okeefe's and subsequent threads like this only cause unnecessary angst in the fanbase.

Last thing we need is another bad run of form after a Anfield defeat - lets stay united eh lads still a small chance of Europe this season.

I was disgusted by most of them a long time ago, largely replaced by apathy and fatigue unfortunately.

I care and always will, but never any longer to the extent where a bad performance/result would spoil an entire week or weekend.

Nobody owns the problems at Everton that is the issue.

That, and an absence of leadership. There is not the merest hint of leadership in that squad. All we get is pithy soundbites.

It does fall on Ancelotti now to fix things, that's what he signed up for and is paid to do.
I think half the problem with modern day footballers is they are constantly getting smoke blew up there ring pieces and believe there own hype that media/Social media create! They actually forget the basics like working hard giving 100% to the cause. You don’t have to be talented to work hard, to press, to give every bit of energy you have.

CA should be drawing up a list of players and saying to Brands these players WILL NOT be anywhere near my playing squad next season.

What irks me is what I've repeatedly said, it's a non story in that every dressing room in world football would have a reaction after a performance/derby defeat like that.

There's no wider significance and all it does is lay foundations/build a false narrative of players against Ancelotti which helps no one, particularly Ancelotti.

Expect plenty of click bait/spin off articles which will go into overdrive if we struggle against Brighton.

Here we go;

Ignore the fact that the players reaction to Ancelotti has been very vocally positive, ignore the upturn in form and good start under Ancelotti, we lost to Man City and Liverpool and now there's a fabricated players vs management narrative because there was a reaction in the dressing room, a reaction you'd expect.

The league is tight and we literally have free weeks between games now. With the Caribo cup probably going to be won by City or Leicester that will free 6th place in the league. The FA Cup could still open up 7th. 7 points next three games a must and we can have a European adventure

I think some of the players did their best... Unfortunately they couldn't get stuck in or press well, because the Liverpool team are quicker, fitter and move the ball and position themselves better. Far better coached, Klopp has had time to get them to this position and their players are far more suitable to the modern game. Our Midfield two were decent players, but are now too slow. Simple as that, couldn't get near. Realised and dropped off. We've some talent but they are young, and for a team to gel you need time. I'd like to see Carlo recruit two strong centre backs, a more authorative and serious keeper, and more pace in the side. Unfortunately the best we could get two years ago, needs to be improved year on year, and costly contracts and fees for players that don't work out now needs to be accepted as the norm until you get the right balance of players that do the business. We will get there.
