So with it being officially announced that Howard is of to the MLS, who should we be looking at to replace him?

Is Joel good enough long term? With the new investment could we get Butland? Would he want to come if we finish below Stoke? David Marshall has been previously linked too.

Ter Stegen and David Ospina might be interested in being first choice keeper somewhere instead of a back up. Also if Real go for De Gea again, Keylor Navas might be available (unless he goes to United as part of the deal).

Would you want us to go for experience or an up and coming keeper?

Butland just signed a new deal.

I don't think Joel is the answer long-term. I would be looking at Forster or Begovic.

Fraser Forster for me. Not a chance on Butland.

Wouldn't mind Ospina, think he's underrated and would be good if given a good run in a team.

Robles is certainly not the long term answer for us, so we need to be looking at bringing in a first choice 'keeper.

David Marshall had a good game against us two years ago. Not sure that's enough for me.

It depends on who's available of course. And if they're better than Robles. Some will be, some won't be, and there's no point signing a new first choice goalie of they're not as good as him. Of course we'll need a back up keeper either way so we'll probably sign someone at least.

Have people actually seen Begovic, or do they just assume he's good?

Because whenever I've seen him play, he's been pretty bog standard, and that's being generous.

Seems like he gets the Tim Howard "myth over reality" treatment to me.

We'd never ever get Forster either for similar reasons to be honest.

I wonder if Pep hates Joe Hart?? Ha.
