Everton's Captain

I would like Pienaar to be captain but the next captain has to Johnny (sorry Jags). He's a great player, he's vocal and he leads by his actions.

I voted for Jags cos i think he'll be around longer than johnny and felli. Can't have a left back as captain, need someone in the middle, defender or midfield.

darron gibson,as we play alot better with him in the team as he gets us going forward more and he's better at link up play.he's everywhere on the pitch.

How long was Phil here, before he was named Captain? I didn't think it was that long, but I honestly can't remember. - NEVERMIND - I've just looked on wiki, didn't realise it was that long - but there you go.
I voted Gibson, I think Distin is brilliant, but he is approaching the end of his career and I'd like to see us with a captain who is about for quite a while.

Jags will be the next captain, Johnny will be playing elsewhere, he's not going to sign a new deal & will be flogged, so why he's getting a mention is beyond me.

Baines is a great player, but he's never going to be a great leader.

Whatever anyone says about Neville, he's been a great captain for EFC over the years & I disagree that the role is 'redundant' these days, the captain is the managers mouth piece on the pitch.

Baines, he isn't a loud leader, but he plays very consistent and is long time here, and if captain he will maybe be less prone to transfer to manu or somewhere else

Which really says all about Moyes and his tactical priorities.

its gibson for me. i think he is the man to lead to team by actions, always gives 100% never shirks away and i get the impression he plays because he loves the game (not for money- although nice)

I'm happy with Neville.

But if it can't be Neville, then Jagielka.

You need your captain to be vocal, Baines isn't vocal enough for me.
