I think hes of an age where his defensive skills can and will be improved on generally by coaching. I think Moyesy needs to work with him in terms of decison making of when to go forward and not.

But what he does give you in going forward is harder to find in the full back position then it is to coach defensive skills particularly in that position.

Agreed, I'm confident with a run of games he'll fit in well and improve. At 23 he's got alot of time to improve his defensive game.

He could,nt even get a game for plymouth last season that shows how much we need bodies in.
My take on baines is he needs a proper run in the team to judge him properly but at the moment i agree with halewood his defending is shocking
