Match Thread Everton vs Liverpool - POSTPONED

It’s really odd the club posted a message about the final derby coming up and then 45 minutes later cancel it. They must have known discussions were ongoing.

It’s odd that we’re the only match in the yellow zone that has called off and you’d think it was better we had an early kick off anyway. This weather would have suited us much more.

Any other games off yet? Be fishy if it’s just ours. Couldn’t they have delayed kick off to 3pm today if it’s gonna be a bit better later.
Most of inland games will probably go ahead as the storm is battering the north West coast and all of Wales, and they postponed all their games yesterday.

I understand this weather being a leveller talk but I think we've had a touch here. They're bang in form, we're not despite Wednesday's result. The gap at the top takes the pressure off them. Get them under the lights, with a fixtures pile up, and teams right up their backsides.

Obviously it's only a football match, I feel for those blues already travelling and more importantly hope everyone is safe.

Everton’s Premier League fixture against Liverpool, scheduled for 12:30pm today (Saturday, December 7), has been postponed.

Following a Safety Advisory Group meeting at Goodison Park, attended by officials from both clubs, as well as representatives from Merseyside Police and Liverpool City Council this morning, it was decided that, due to the risk to safety in the local area due to strong wind gusts, and an amber severe wind warning that remains in place until 6am on Sunday, today’s fixture should be postponed on safety grounds.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank supporters for their understanding. Whilst we appreciate this will be deeply disappointing for supporters, the safety of fans, staff and players is of paramount importance.

Information relating to a rearranged date for the fixture will be announced in due course.

All tickets purchased for the original fixture will remain valid for the rearranged fixture.

That would be Colin Chong representing Everton v the rest. Hands up for a postponement.

Hopefully when it's replayed the club will have new owners and a manager with some tactical acumen.
Slots bubble may have burst too by then.
God clearly doesn't want ginger bollocks in charge of the final derby at Goodison.
Would certainly qualify as an act of God

It will have been a scheduled message: if you look, a lot of the formal or regular ones are usually posted at set-times on a match day,

Glad its called off. I was planning to make a rare visit to my Bullens Road seat. It will remain empty. Sensible decision for old scroats like me.
