Everton vs Chelsea

Not sure if you're being sarcastic but I'll assume you're not. :)
Yes, those of us who live up to 50 miles away are lucky that we can actually get to games but most of us also have jobs and lives outside supporting Everton (only just mind) and have to plan ahead. I was happy to drive up from Builth Wells where I'm on holiday, drop the dogs off with someone, go to the match, then go back down. Only six hours or so during the day. Some supporters travel those distances for every home game so that's no hardship but doing that drive on a Thursday night, no thanks.

Most people know now that the the fixture list, as well as being fixed by Skyshite is subject to changes but those changes are usually from a Saturday to a Sunday but to actually bring it forward to a THURSDAY of all days....very annoying.
The world won't stop revolving just because I can't get to the match but the thing that makes me angry is the total disregard for the clubs and the supporters.
So, do I change my holiday plans again or just give my ST to a mate?

Very well said Lass(y)

i assure you bluelass it was not sarcastic. i've recieved pm's myself in the past from members in this forum gloating that everton had lost purely because i made a 6000 mile journey to the match. it says it all, doesn't it?!

as i said, being a (very) long distance supporter myself it would drive me mad having to juggle plans and then rejuggle them. i hear you loud and clear about the club not taking into account supporters lives and how difficult it can be getting to the match. a thursday night is just plain awkward for those not living in liverpool.

6000 miles is a helluv a long way to get to a match, so hats off to you(y)

You'd think the lads would put in a bit of extra effort to win the game if you've made such a big effort to get there!

I think you'll shame me into driving up for the Chelsea game and sod the consequences!
