Couldn't agree more. Can't be arsed with the we were so unlucky everyone was phenomenal rhetoric after dross leave Goodison with three points. I'm convinced in my own mind this is what Roberto Martinez is. Flashes of brilliance but masses of frustration. Better be a change in the summer.

We absolutely battered them, all those shots were in the attacking 3rd in and around their box, most were blocked, defending for their lives all game.

I'd have liked to have seen Lennon, Del and Mirallas on the pitch all at the same time in that 2nd half, that might have unlocked the door, instead he sticks Osman and Kone on, 2 subs wasted.

...not disagreeing about the substitutions but we rarely got behind them and created. Plenty of shots but from areas the Baggies were comfortable with.

Barkley's two in the last 10 minutes were pretty clear cut as far as I'm concerned.

West Brom played played on Wednesday,which went into extra time and only had two days to recover,we had a full week off,and he brings Lennon off because he thought he was tiring.

....good sides get behind tight defences, good teams get behind teams with 9 defenders otherwise it would be easy to defend against good teams. It's fine having the ability to break against teams away from home but until we know how to unlock defensive units at our place we won't be a top side. This isn't a one-off.

Completely agree with that. It can happen once, it might happen twice, but to happen every two or three games over the course of a season it suggests to me there's a fundamental flaw in our strategy/in game approach. We should've burried Stoke, Leicester, Swansea, West Brom, Norwich, Bournemouth, Watford and Palace this season. We got a grand total of 3 points out of these games. 'One of these days' doesn't really wash with me.
 

A couple of Gibson thoughts of the day to cheer everyone up.

- 2-1 down to WBA in September, bring on Gibson and Kone, win 3-2. This is nearly 5 months ago. Gibson has been available all this time but without getting a look in. Doesn't even make the bench now.

- 6th home defeat of the season. We have never lost a home game when Darron Gibson started.

Nice to see the progress being made since Gibson was banished to Siberia. No-one here can possibly tell me that Leon Osman at nearly 35 is a better option than Gibson. I called Martinez bumming of Osman on day 1 when he arrived. Nearly 3 years later he's still making my eyes bleed with this love-in. No doubt he'll say his experience of being a perennial loser is valuable to have in the squad.

...he creted openings and had a shot at goal from the edge of the area but I'm thinking more about creating chances inside the area, we rarely got beyond their back four we didn't fiz balls across their six yard box. I don't remember their keeper making a save of note in the 2nd half and we virtually had 100% possession.

Your love for crappy Gibson is just as bad
 
Pulis was saying post-match that we have enough quality in depth in our squad to be considered one of the top 3 or 4 sides in the league.

He is spot on. It's such a shame that this isn't being realised and we are rotting away in mid-table.
