I hope Pienaar starts.

People seem to have lost faith in him, and to be honest he has taken a while to regain form after this latest injury, but the football is always better and the team generally looks more balanced when he's playing.
his appearance against Hull showed he's far past his best

.....his presence tends to make a big difference to Baines. As you say, balance is better because Baines gets forward and Barry sits in. Let's hope Pienaar can hit a bit of form.

It must have been produced ahead of the 84-85 season. Sheedy signed in '82 and was definitely a first-team regular in season 83-84. Van Den Hauwe was also with us by then. Sheedy missed the FA Cup final through injury and John Bailey played left-back in the final which may "explain" why both not included.

Alternatively, there may be a third page with Sheedy, Van Den Hauwe, Jim Arnold, Andy King, Alan Irvine, David Johnson and Rob Wakenshaw!
Nice one. I did actually shake off my usual laziness and look up some stats on Sheedy. Saw that we signed him in 82 and was part of the first team in 82-83 season.

Rob Wakenshaw, christ that's a blast from the past.

Be prepared in atleast one of our 2 games this week for:

Howard

Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines

Besic Barry

Eto'o Naismith Barkley

Lukaku
