I understand why some are concerned that a win papers over the cracks and we trundle on.

That may be true of the managerial situation, certainly.

But I think the opposite might be true of the boardroom / club heirachy stuff.

That sit-in protest will, I think, be well-attended and noisy.

If it is - after an important win - then I think that tells the board we're double-serious about reform.
 


I remeber just before Doucoure joined us from Watford he had a string of games playing higher up the pitch and did really well. If its a choice between him and MacNeil then it depends on wether FL goes for the double pivot plus on higher up, ot goes for the flat 3 across the middle. Personally I think the flat 3 would better suit MacNeil but I also think its unlikely if FL persists with wingbacks in a back 5.
 
People say teams are worse than us on paper

The issue we have is beating those teams

Whether it's morale, quality, team selection etc or not we just can't beat teams

If lampard wins a few games and stays post window, it's only a matter of time before things go bad again

There needs to be a root of optimism. But there isn't any in my view
