Allison being out for 6 weeks is massive loss for them.
Only need VVD to pick up a season long injury on international duty and a few more to go down with Covid and we should be ok.

Do you still hold this viewpoint in light of recent events

I may want to change my opinion! :)

In seriousness, Freak shows happen; the premise remains. We'd always do well (as Carlo suely will) to remain calm, prepare ourselves, respect but not fear the others & give it our best. And then move on to the next.

Hubris and Everton are not a good mix, are hey?!

Well done to whoever it was that came out with the "who do you call if your neighbours let in more than six" for getting it quoted on motd2, classic.

Best time in absolute yonks to do one over on them in the league. We need to be fully prepared to go at them from the off.

They put out a reserve team and we didn’t beat them.
Whilst we are due a win, talk of smashing them is moronic. If we do win, it will be really tight and by one goal.
Moronic? The just got turned over 7-2 by villa. They've got a keeper worse than karius. We've got a midfield that can battle any midfield in the PL. We've got a striker who can't stop scoring. Our defense looks like they can also score a few, not to mention keep them from scoring. Moronic is playing the "inferiority complex" card. Nice things are starting to happen. This is actually the time to be a bit cocky. Top of the league, goals galore, best manager at the helm for a Long time.

Oh, and a special columbian who can punish their high defensive line.

They also just won the PL by a ridiculous margin, and they won’t put up a display like that two games in a row.
They will be a different team facing us.

If thats the case, then theyre going to have to re-address what clearly went wrong with their geggenpress. Klopp himself says he only has two days with them after the break before the derby. Credit must go to Villa's plan... Ive always said that this RS set-up can capitulate under fast, direct accurate passing. The genies out of the bottle for them and we now have the expertise, talent and confidence to take advantage of that.

this. And carlo will know how to ;)

Don’t come tougher than this. I think our first hurdle is just believing we actually belong on the same pitch as them.

Really hope we have all of our injured players back for this.
Relax. They hardly ever beat us at Goodison, Twice I think, since we beat them here in 2010, and one one of those was a flukey extra time goal.
