don't think that anybody is going overboard. Speaking for myself I've supported Everton for far to long to go overboard about anything. The only time that I ( we ) sort of knew that Everton would win , was in the mid 1980s . And that team usually did oblige. So I suppose back then I went overboard in my expectations . But not today. Let's see how next week pans out.
But there was a lot of good play in show today. A clean sheet. Coleman and Keane playing ok. DVDB. Gordon. Twenty one shots. Ten on target.
And three points. So not going overboard. But this old supporter is have just a wee punch in the air. Job done today. Up The Toffees.
I'm buzzing mate, was so worried today and they all stepped up and it was a good performance. Need more of it. I also hate Leeds, so I'm happier about that than most on here probably given 90% of my mates are Leeds fans! :D

Just seen the extended highlights...Everton looked a totally different team to the feckless, spineless outfit that have taken the pitch for the vast majority of the season. I normally vote for Crab Iwobi as MotM, on the basis I feel sorry for how useless he is. But today he was very good...so I voted for the young Gordon lad...he's got a bit about him, that lad
Whereare the extended highlights?

Can’t get to Goodison tomorrow due to family issues and to be honest I’ll be tied up for the hours we’re playing, I’m thinking of just turning all off connections and just wait until 6pm and check out the score
Reply to my own own quote so you understand what I mean, couldn’t go today like I said, missed the Arsenal game and missed the Burnley game. I’m starting to see a trend them I’m the jinx

It's easy to say how poor Leeds were today and how they are missing a lot of key players, but these are the games we need to be winning regardless of the quality of the opponents.

Other than the couple of near moments of magic from Rodrigo, they never looked like really bothering us defensively, the defensive unit looked confident and composed and our attacking play was (bar 15 mins or so in the second half) relentless.

Tougher match against the Saints next time out, they've won 4 out of 6 matches so far this year (a draw with City as well amongst that), though 3 of their wins have been against Swansea, Coventry (both in the cup) and Brentford.

Not sure if we can replicate the intensity away, but if we can keep the composure at the back we showed today and continue to improve in our build up play, no reason we cant get a result there - and that should give us a bit of room to breathe.
