Nothing like a return of tepid toffees to kill our buzz from last week. I'm always sceptical of Homes and Sigurdsson being in the same midfield

Keane will make a big difference. He will pick a long pass instead of repeatedly cycling it between centerback. Not every pass will be successful but if half of them reaches our forward players, the first half would be different.
Our midfield doesn't play progressive passes so we need Keane to do it. Sometimes Mina does too. Neither of these two are and it is an issue. It's pretty wild.

Keane is head and shoulders above both of them, but hes not going to change this game, IMO.

Sure he can pass better, but unless we are putting him in midfield, I don't see him changing this game.

I would be taking off Iceland, sticking on King, give Hamez 10minutes to make an impact and then sticking on wee Bernie in some hail mary.

This really....

I don't know why I was so optimistic.

Despite all the positives this season, I can't remember a team who actually played poorly against us. We make it so easy for teams to get up the pitch and we seem totally incapable of playing through a high press.

At the same time, we can only get better than that first half. I don't think Carlo will be calmly sipping tea in the dressing room at half time.

On the couple of occaisions we have got up the pitch and pressured their goalie, he looks like an Alisson waiting to happen. Need more pace. Get King on for Gilfi to stretch them a bit.

Get at them blues ffs.

I hope Ancelotti gave them a shake up type of talk during the break. We need to do much better this second half otherwise I'm going to be indulging myself in chocolates pretty soon to make this half sweeter.
