My heart has not quite calmed down yet.

But my head has. Last night was great but it has to continue. If this was a one off for them then I'll be very angry as I'm sure a lot of you will. A lot of players stepped up last night. They needed to. In fact they had to.

Just as one defeat doesn't kill them, one (very good) win doesn't make them either. It has to continue in that vein every single game.

Very true.
Not getting too high on a win and not getting too low on a defeat is important...
Let's get a little higher though when we string a run of victories together ;)

This feeling when you wake up with a big smile on your face. Thank you, Everton FC for this special night.

James McCarthy was the catalyst for me and his tackle on Coquelin awakes Goodison.

Have a nice day, Blues.
Similar to neville on Ronaldo at goodison . set the tone and crowd n players responded

Well where did that come from?! Dont think you can underestimate the effect the crowd had on the players last night and it took me back to when I was much younger and night matches seemed to be much more common. There is nowhere quite like Goodison when the crowd gets up for it and it was the first time in ages (years maybe) that it felt to me that the crowd pulled the players through. I always remember one of the nighttime derbies when Ferguson smashed Kvarme into the Paddock in the first two minutes and it set the tone for the rest of the game and it was similar to that last night. The little passage of play when there were three or four tackles in 10 seconds and we came out with the ball attacking seemed to lift the place from its slumber and the atmosphere stayed up all game as we got into the Southern Softies. Its nights like that which I will really miss when we finally leave The Old Lady. Every single player deserves credit from that game. Ashley Williams will be thanking his lucky stars that Ganas leg wasnt planted when he tried to take his knee off and Barkley looked like the player that we know he can be rather than the shadow we have seen for most of this and the end of last season. Same again next Monday, give us something to shout about Everton and the crowd will see you through.

As there isn't a vote option for the crowd, I gave it to McCarthy who just edged Gueye. He looked up for it last night and back to his best of 3 years ago, lets hope that continues as we could do with his dynamism in midfield, as good as Barry is his lack of mobility is causing us problems and leaving Baines exposed.
Honourable mention to Barkley too who looked so much more effective in a slightly deeper role, some of the crossfield balls he was playing were superb.
