The midfield mix of players just doesn’t work.

It's not about expecting to win, it's the expectation of a semblance of tactics or basic footballing ability which should be possible, no matter the opponent.

Well it wasn't Lampard, he had Docoure training with the youth team, Dyche reintroduced him to the team and that ultimately kept us up.
You can't slate him off for today's performance (Which he deserved btw) then not give him any credit for keeping us up last season.

Yeah, we can hate on the players all we want for being crap, but I don't think they're legitimately this bad. Robbie Mustoe on the NBC pre-match show was saying that if you look at our squad, with the addition of Harrison still to come, that on paper we looked to him like we should be improved from last year and probably be a mid-table team that is nowhere near relegation. Lee Dixon did point out that maybe the defense was a bit weaker overall, but still.

Feels like an actual decent manager would not have this squad in 18th.

This is the thing. The players available to Dyche exceed what Lampard and Benitez had and they were both , yet Dyche is doing even worse. Do not understand our fans' love in with him.

Exactly this, I bet he cuts the oranges in to segments at half time and thinks he's done a great management job. Calvert Lewin for Beto when the midfield needed totally changing as well as the game plan is just an incredible and unforgivable shout by him.

Just what i was about to say. You should expect having a plan other than park the bus. A plan to get a goal or two in a game where you know they will control the game. There are.many ways this can be done. Only having a plan for defending is crap tactics
