If you think this has been a great performance you have a very low threshold for it.

We've got players behind the ball and relied on a couple of glaring errors (one Ozil's, the other the linesman's).

I'm impressed from a combativity pov, but FFS how anyone can think we're playing great or even very well is beyond me. It's a battling performance. We can play much better than this.

Anyone with two eyes in their head can see the only bits of football there first half were Arsenal's passing before we got the first goal.

If you read my original post you'll know fulwell that I didn't describe it as a 'great' performance.

Anyway not arsed reading the rest, back to Everton.

Arsenal seem to lack the steel in midfield that we have in Barry and McCarthy. Even their holding midfielders are more technical, flair, tiki-taka types. Lack the grit and fight in the middle of the park.
That's always been their problem, they depend on a 38 year old in Flamini to give them that.

I'd love to see Besic get a start against them in a 4-3-3 at the Emirates. Think he would boss midfield against them.
