bump, Please tell me if this is annoying but I'm trying to keep this on the first page to attract attention in the hope that the originator can achieve his collection target via donations from fellow Evertonians on this site, I fear that if it drops off the front page it will lose the support that it deserves.

My gf was teaching in Uganada a few years a go and she was saying most people supported Arsenal and they went to a bar type place and all they ever played were old matches of Arsenal in Champions League and most people still thought players like Henry and Vieria still played for them.

great story Adam, and an amazing experience I´m sure.

will donate a few bob when I get home.

have been thinking about an Africa trip in the next couple years and Uganda seems quite attractive right now :)

this story is right up my street. Well done mate and thanks for sharing. I have always wanted to go to Uganda and now I know where to head. My not limited experience of so called under privileged countries is that the spirit of the communities and warmth of the people is so much more evident than in Europe.

Thanks for your kind words. It was an honour to meet them and have a kick about with them. I cannot stress how talented they were either. If any one is ever passing through Uganda I would highly recommend giving them a visit. They were very welcoming and ecstatic just to have us there!
Nice photos, which one is you?

Thanks again guys. My friend who was inspired and set up the donation page is extremely grateful and couldn't believe the sudden surge of donations from the UK from people he didn't know (he is from Sweden). Ali is also very grateful and if any of you who mentioned going to Uganda were interested in meeting him then drop me an email and I can put you in touch. My email is adamrowden01@gmail.com. Cheers again!

Bump.....Trying to keep this on the front page to gather some more donations for them, come on guys in among the doom and gloom lets all chip in and keep a smile on these poor kids faces ,some of them are playing in flip flops!
