Hopefully with it being a free admission game we get a good crowd for this. Last time they did this last season vs Man Utd, we got a 6000+ crowd.

It's live on Sky Sports 1 next Monday as well.

Blue Crimbo is nearly upon us - and Everton Football Club is kicking off the season of goodwill by opening up the gates of Goodison Park and offering free match tickets for the Under-21s’ clash with Sunderland on Monday 1 December.

Supporters of all ages are invited to experience the magic of the Grand Old Lady completely free of charge when David Unsworth’s young Blues tackle their counterparts from the north-east in the Under-21 Premier League.

There will be a whole host of festive activities for families to enjoy before the game gets underway at 7pm - including the popular Fan Zone presented by Graeme White and Jennifer Jewell, with Blue Crimbo-themed giveaways and entertainment, food stalls providing hot food and drinks and the EA SPORTS FIFA 15 dugout.

Last season over 6,000 Evertonians were in attendance at Goodison Park to watch the Under-21s play Manchester United - and this season Unsworth is hoping for an even larger backing for his team in a fixture that is being screened live on Sky.

He said: “The support for our Under-21 boys last season when we played at Goodison Park was absolutely magnificent; the fans really played a massive part in the lads putting in such a great performance on the night.

“I hope that as many fans as possible take advantage of the free tickets on offer by the Club and turn out in their numbers to cheer on the boys and help us in kicking off Blue Crimbo.”

Tickets for the mini-matchday are free for any supporter and can be obtained by visiting the Goodison Road or Park End Box Office, Everton One and Everton Two from midday on Monday 24 November to midday on Monday 1 December. Any child under the age of 11 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Everton Under-21s are also in action at Goodison against Celtic this Tuesday [25 November] in the International Premier League Cup.

Admission for Season Ticket holders is free of charge, with adult and concession admission priced at £5 and £3 respectively to pay on the gate. More information and a preview of the match is available by clicking here.

Why on earth is it on sky?

Sky signed a deal at the start of the season to show a set number of Premier League U21 reserve games this season.

A few months back they showed Norwich U21s vs Spurs U21s. Now it's our turn. It's on Sky Sports 1 at 7pm on Monday night next week.
